This Seiko Presage HCB007J1 is part of the Japanese Zen Garden collection, inspired by the ancient capital of Kyoto and the traditional Karesansui dry gardens of Japan. The patterned green dial represents the ripples of a Japanese Zen garden at twilight, while the warm rose-gold coloured case, hands and indexes reflect the glow of the setting sun.

The dial features an open heart at 9 o’clock, allowing a glimpse of Seiko’s in-house automatic movement. This adds depth and character to the watch, combining traditional Japanese design inspiration with mechanical watchmaking detail.

Powered by Seiko’s 4R71 automatic calibre, this watch also offers manual winding capability, a stop second hand function and an approximate 41-hour power reserve. The movement has 24 jewels and can be viewed through the see-through screw case back.

The stainless steel case measures 41.8mm in diameter, with a 12.0mm thickness, 48.3mm case length and 20mm lug width. It is finished with a dual-curved sapphire crystal and paired with a leather strap with quick release spring bars, making it easy to change the strap if desired.

Additional features include a three-fold clasp with push button release, magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m and splash resistance. Delivery and return
  • In stock items will be delivered within 1-3 working days (*usually the same day if ordered before 1pm but this can vary during busy periods).
  • Where size adjustments need to be made delivery is usually 7-10 working days. However if the product needs to be ordered/made to your specification, delivery can be around 4-6 weeks. 
  • If you need an item for a specific date please contact us prior to your purchase so we can advise you on delivery. If you need an item quicker, please ask and we'll do our best to meet your requirements.
  • For a fast delivery and for insurance purposes, we send all deliveries to mainland UK addresses via Royal Mail. We offer free shipping on UK orders over £75 (excluding larger or heavier items). For orders under £75 there is a £4.95 shipping charge.

  • UK (excluding Ireland) Orders up to £100 will be sent via Recorded Delivery. Orders over £100 will also be dispatched via Special Delivery. 
  • Please contact us for International shipping rates as these may vary.
  • Customs and taxes vary in each country outside of the UK. Pease check your own country customs information as the recipient is required to pay these fees before goods will be released from customs. 

 

RETURNS

  • You have 14 days to notify us if you wish to return unwanted goods (goods must be in the same condition as they were received) and another 14 days for us to receive the goods. This means you have a total of 28 days to return an unwanted item. You are responsible for the return postage costs which must include suitable insurance cover for the item as well as being tracked delivery (we recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK)
  • Items returned from outside of the UK will also have our customs charges deducted from refunds.
  • There will be a fee of £7.50 deducted from refunds on returned earrings for a cleaning and sterilisation process.
  • If you ordered a ring in the wrong size please contact us as soon as possible to arrange re-sizing the ring with us free of charge, excluding your return shipping charge (small charges may apply for alterations on pre-owned items) Please make sure the ring is unworn as we are unable to size certain designs and will therefore need to exchange the ring.
  • If you have purchased an item by interest free credit and you wish to return the item please contact us before returning to discuss your options.
  • If you wish to return goods which are faulty (manufacturers fault) this must be within 6 months of the date the goods were purchased.
  • Please be aware our insurance only covers items we ship out and it does not cover items sent from the consumer therefore you are responsible for the cost of returning the item including any necessary insurance cover in case the parcel is lost in transit.
  • In the rare event that an item is faulty within the 28days of purchase please return your item via a tracked and insured delivery service (via Royal Mail Recorded or Royal Mail Special Delivery - depending on the value of the item) and we will refund your postage cost with a proof of receipt once we have received the goods. Seiko Watch Warranty

Seiko watches include a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The cover is automatic from the date of purchase with valid proof of purchase (no registration is required). Exclusions apply to straps (leather/urethane/fabric), glass (crystal), battery replacements, and damage caused by misuse or improper handling.

Grand Seiko models include a 5-year warranty.
Caring For An Automatic Watch

Wear your watch regularly to keep it powered, wind it manually if left unworn or purchase a watch winder. Avoid strong shocks, magnets, and extreme temperatures. Ensure the crown is fully secured before any water exposure if water resistant. Clean gently with a soft cloth, and service every 3–5 years to maintain accuracy and longevity.
Quartz v Automatic Watches

Quartz watches are battery-powered and highly accurate, requiring minimal maintenance with a battery change every 1–3 years. They are lightweight and affordable.

Automatic watches are mechanically powered by wrist movement, with no battery required. They offer traditional craftsmanship but need regular wear or winding and servicing every 3–5 years.
Do I Need A Watch Winder?

An automatic watch will keep running as long as it’s worn regularly. If left unworn, it will stop after its power reserve (usually 36–80 hours). A watch winder is optional and simply keeps the watch running when not in use, which is useful for convenience or for watches with complex settings.
