The iconic Cosmograph Daytona pays tribute to the famous Daytona race track in Florida, where racing developed in the late 50’s and was originally designed for ultimate timing for professional racing drivers around the world.
Over 50 years later, the Cosmograph Daytona still remains in a class of its own today.
A key feature of the Daytona is the high-tech ceramic bezel with a tachymetric scale for measuring average speeds which is corrosion resistant, hardwearing against scratches and is unaffected by UV rays.
The chronograph movement features a Parachrom hairspring, which offers greater resistance to temperature variations and shocks. This movement designed by Rolex incorporates fewer components compared to a standard chronograph to enhance reliability and the watch it’s self is waterproof up to 100 metres.
The robust and comfortable three piece link oyster strap was first introduced in the 1930’s.

The 950 Platinum Daytona features a chesnut brown cerachrom bezel and an ice-blue dial. The ice-blue dial is exclusive to the platinum Rolex watches… This is a seriously heavy watch!
